Trumpet Voluntary – Boyce

If you don’t know this piece, it’s good for almost any situation from a church postlude to a wedding recessional. A happy upbeat sound by a great Baroque composer. Optional 1st Eb trumpet.

    This is a sleeper! Not the Trumpet Tune & March you might be thinking of, this is actually two arrangements rolled into one. The first is a beautiful lyrical tune the segues into a joyous march with ornamentation on the repeats. This would be excellent for concerts, preludes or special music. Trumpets swap phrases and an optional 1st Eb trumpet part.

    This is guaranteed the most effective program opener you will ever do with one of Handel’s most popular and joyful pieces. This is done antiphonally (trumpets starting in the back) and ultimately climaxes together at the end.
